The Optomate Touch API is a RESTful service that runs locally on your Server which supports the reading & writing of specific data within your database. The purpose of this API is to provide you, or third parties that you grant access, to securely extract and/or post data to the Optomate Touch database. The API supports Sales Summary, Takings Summary, Patients, Examinations, Appointments, Purchase Orders, Arrival Invoices, Spectacle Orders & Inventory tables updates.
NB: The latest API is compatible with Optomate Touch Release 2.0.5 and above & Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8. The API may work with previous Opomate Touch versions but not support all functionality.

The Monkey Software Web Services Platform (dubbed “MWS”) is now live and has moved to Production.
MWS has been built within the Microsoft Azure "Platform as a Service" (PaaS), utilising Australian-based Servers for the highest level of data integrity, security and compliancy with our privacy laws.
In addition to the standard security layer supplied by Microsoft, Optomate Touch connects to MWS using an RSA encrypted Token (Composite Key) that expires every 3 minutes. In addition, a Monkey Token is used for all public MWS calls utilising an AES encrypted token that expires every 60 minutes.
