re-installation of software on a new computer please call us and give us 24 hours notice so we can set aside time to help you. In some circumstances this may take considerable time, so we need to allocate time so regular support is not affected.

Optomate Premier Series

Online Claiming

Medicare Australia's Online Claiming facility is seamlessly integrated into the Optomate Practice Management System software. Optomate supports Medicare direct billed batched claiming and OPV (Online Patient Verification). Claims are sent via the internet. Patient Claiming, including real-time bulk billed/schedule claiming and patient eligibility checking, is coming soon.

HICAPS

Raise an account in Optomate then with the click of a mouse button download all relevant Health Fund codes and fees directly to the HICAPS machine to process the patient Health Fund claim. All you have to do is swipe the patients' card through the HICAPS machine to process the claim.

SMS(*)

Send batch appointment confirmation SMS to patients, and allow them to confirm their appointments via a text message sent directly to your SMS online account. Optomate handles all incoming SMS without the need for you to have a mobile phone, it's all done within the Optomate system. You can also send batch spectacle and contact lens job pick up reminders and once-off SMS direct to patients or sales reps. Eyetalk Digital

Download the current Eyetalk Consultants contact and spectacle lens file and import it directly into the Optomate database, updating current lenses and adding new lenses at the same time.

MYOB and QuickBooks Accounting(*)

You can send your sales and stock arrival information directly from Optomate into the MYOB and QuickBooks Accounting systems. Both Cash and Accrual GST users are supported.

Through the jobbing area of Optomate you can connect directly to the following lens ordering systems:

Optomate will send different information depending on the order system being used. In most cases the patient, lens and frame details are ported directly to the Lens Ordering system from Optical Manufacturers.

Optomate also incorporates a generic facility allowing you to call any system that has a stand alone executable for capturing and editing images such as the Nikon Image Capture system.

Clinical Hardware

Efficiency in your practice is always our focus, and as such there are now several pieces of equipment that Optomate gathers information from, in the Consulting Room.

Some Autorefractors, motorised Refractor Heads and Lens Meters have the ability to pass their information to computer software to avoid mistyping and increase speed.

Whilst some Nidek, Nikon, Topcon and Rodenstock equipment can already transfer data to Optomate, we are continuing to develop integration as new equipment with this ability becomes available.
