Optomate Premier Features

Online Claiming

Medicare Australia’s Online Claiming facility is seamlessly integrated into the Optomate Practice Management System software. Optomate supports Medicare direct billed batched claiming, schedule billed real- time claiming and OPV (Online Patient Verification). Claims are sent via the internet.

Direct billed claim batch payments are deposited direct to your bank account within 3 days of you sending the claim and within 24 hours you will receive the EFT and Exception statements with all the details you need to process the payment.

In the case of a schedule billed account there are two payment options. 1. The patient can choose to pay the full fee, being either the schedule fee or higher, for example, patient pays $67.15 for a 10900 then receives a cheque or direct deposit for $57.10. 2. The patient can choose to pay the gap fee, for example, patient pays $10.05 for the 10900 then receives a cheque in favour of the optometrist for $57.10.

The only paperwork that is produced during the Online Claiming process is a DB4 form which the patient signs after the consultation, everything else is processed electronically online.

HICAPS

Raise an account in Optomate then with the click of a mouse button download all relevant Health Fund codes and fees directly to the HICAPS machine to process the patient Health Fund claim. All you have to do is swipe the patients’ card through the HICAPS machine to process the claim.

MYOB and QuickBooks Accounting

You can send your sales and stock arrival information directly from Optomate into the MYOB and QuickBooks Accounting systems. Both Cash and Accrual GST users are supported.
